The Canadian Rockies(1)
We left Portland for Calgary in Canada via Seattle.
We stayed in Banff in the center of the Canadian Rockies for 5 days.

A Wrong Boarding
We took a wrong plane at the Seattle airport.
The foreign couple had seats for our reserved seats. We asked them whether they were correct or not. The plane was bound for not Calgary for Vancouver! We got out of the plane in a hurry with a friend who sat down a vacant seat.
The plane bound for Calgary was the other side of a connection passage. There were both of flight signs, but there was not a sign of right or left.

A City In Banff

This is Banff from the top of Mt. Sulphur.
The Bow River streams from west to east. And if you cross a bridge in the center of the Bow River, you can see the Banff Avenue toward north.
From the bridge you can see Mt. Cascade north side.

Mountain Lakes and Waterfalls
We took a tour in Japanese for 2 days.

These are the feminine Lake Louise and Victoria Glacier. Louise was named after Queen Victoria's daughter. These are the mannish Moraine Lake and the Ten Peaks. Moraine means a pile of rock. This is a squirrel in the Moraine Lake. We saw squirrels many times in Banff. They dug holes here and there.
This is "Pika" in Moraine Lake in the rock. We knew it was Pika because we watched it on TV in Japan. It calls for telling about it's territory. This is the Yoho River in Yoho National Park. The river color is milky because rocky flour flows into the river.
This is the Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park. It's nearly 400 meters tall.(the third highest in Canada) The falls which hit the rock are powerful. This is an interesting squirrel at the foot of the Takakkaw Falls. It doesn't move at all, and just stands for observing around here. It might not a squirrel because of a very short tail. This is the Natural Bridge made of rock, it is formed by limestone erosion.
